Weekend in Arizona

Eric's company celebrated 30 years in business with a huge Christmas party where the Denver office and spouses were flown down to Tucson headquarters.  We stayed at the Loews Ventana Resort in the foothills of Tucson where it was much nicer than the city (that's all I'll say about Tucson).  When we left Denver it was probably hanging around 0 and Tucson was in the 50s during the day so that was nice but still cool especially when the sun went down but definitely warmer than 0. The view from our room.

Saturday we drove up to Chandler where my nephew is in the NICU after being born October 27 at 30 weeks.  He is still small, about 4 1/2 pounds but everything is perfect and he is a cutie.

Eating is hard work!
Trying to vie for the favorite auntie position
It was nice visiting with sisters and hopefully the people also trying to enjoy lunch at Outback didn't get offended by our random conversation.

My other favorite nephew and sister although we couldn't get his adorable smile on camera.

We stopped off at In-n-Out on the way back to town, ordering a neopolitan shake and rootbeer float off the secret menu.  Back at the hotel I got prettied up, as much as that's possible :)  Even though it wasn't really a formal event a woman doesn't need an excuse to buy a nice dress, right?

It was a nice evening with tons of people and the whole weekend ended too soon but we had to get back to life and three wonderful girls who were well cared for by a friend and Eric's sister.
