Heaven on Earth

It looked a lot better before we ate most of it, but I decided to make a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake this past weekend. I'm generally not a fan of anything other than milk chocolate (I don't like chocolate ice cream, for instance), but this turned out delicious. It was very thick, I thought about giving some away but then I tried it and quickly gave up that notion. Mine, all mine! Muahahaha!

Girls Time

This past weekend two of my sisters--Melissa & Patricia (Trish, Trisha, the other aunt)--came and visited. Eric felt even more outnumbered than he usually does but we (the girls) had a good time watching lots of Jane Austen. I loved having one adult per child during the day, it was fabulous! Sadly, I had to take them back to the airport yesterday and their real lives: Melissa to BYU classes and Trish to work in Arizona.

Melissa, me, & Patricia

Having fun at the Museum of Nature & Science.Trisha said Rachel had perfect goalie form as they practiced before Elizabeth's soccer game.

Trish almost freezed her toes off when we had this view Monday morning. I'm sorry, I can't predict the weather here in Colorado.
I can't remember who was the favorite aunt to whom but here are some pictures with Melissa.

Earlier in the week, Rachel and I went on a Coldstone tour. Who wouldn't be happy about ice cream?

Cleanliness is highly Overrated

I saw this sign at the store and had to have it.

S-N-O-W

The weatherman actually was right this weekend about the huge storm we had. We got well over a foot of snow and it's almost the end of April! I guess it makes up for the lack of snow we've had all winter but I'm ready for more warm & sunny days. We didn't let the snow go to waste as I played outside with Elizabeth and Rachel and somewhat lived what a childhood with snow would be like (I saw snow once in Simi Valley, not that I'm complaining about that :).

I made a snow cave with the playset on the deck and Elizabeth & Rachel loved it.

Sound of Music

This makes me want to watch the movie and sing all the songs while Eric laughs at me.

Easter Beauties

Easter has come and gone but the candy is still around. Here are some pictures of our beauties. I made their hairbows, aren't you proud of me? It's getting increasingly frustrating to get pretty smiles out of all the girls at the same time. I need a camera with better shutter speed so I can catch the moments when they are behaving :)

Aunt Lynne also came to town for the week and we had some fun with her. Thanks for the presents and watching our little ones for a date night. Lisa and Lynne put together an Easter egg hunt on Saturday for the girls and we have lots of candy from that.

Museum Trip

While Elizabeth was on Spring break this past week, I thought we'd use our Museum of Nature & Science pass and take friends Cal & Cami (and Kelly of course). Little did we know that we'd be sharing the place with 2,000 elementary, junior high, and high school kids. It was crowded and I got somewhat annoyed with the older kids but we tried to keep our distance. Our kids had a blast and here are some pictures.

Rachel still says she wants to be an astronaut, don't let the face fool you.
We'll count this as their second date, the fire station and holding hands was the first. Good thing they are chaperoned.
Who's that cutie in the mirror?

Embracing the Pink

For those that didn't know me growing up, I was a major tomboy. When I found out I was having a girl for my first child, I was against buying any pink things for her. My family graciously bought me neutral colored clothes (thinking also I might have a boy sometime). Three princess girls later, I'm finally starting to embrace the pink. I'm even doing the fancy hair-tie thing too, other pictures soon to come with ones that I made.
Evelyn's shirt says "I'll always be Grandma's Sweetie." Guess who that was from?

Here's what we did while Eric was gone for Priesthood Session of General Conference last weekend. Guesses on which toes/fingers belongs to whom?

Eric must have laughed when he found me painting my fingernails and toenails after I came home from my soccer practice last week. I'm even surprising him and my sisters by wearing "chunky" necklaces and dressing up more. Don't worry, I still love sports and the outdoors, I'm just embracing "the other side" (the one that should be hard-wired in me as a woman) a little more.
