Track Off Fun

Even with tax season in full swing we did have some fun together although I wasn't the best about taking pictures.
Aunt Lynne came to visit and she would like like this all day if she could.
The girls dressed like a pirate one day.
I finished out my rotation of preschool with these five cuties and it's kind of crazy that I'm done with teaching preschool forever!  Kindergarten here we come.
On our last day track off it was threatening to snow, again, in the middle of April when I was completely done with snow but the weather had other ideas, so we went to Jumpstreet and burned off some energy.

And yes, I did ride this bull.

Now everyone is back in school and the house is very quiet.  I need to get off the computer and get some projects done!

Our New Addition

Well, we bit the bullet and became true Coloradans with an AWD vehicle, the new addition to our family--Subaru Forester.  This car definitely has some get up and go and it actually fits Eric.

Easter Dresses

With spring trying to finally show itself here in Colorado, we had a beautiful Easter Sunday yesterday with the sun shining and warm temperatures.  My tulips are starting to come out of the ground and I can't wait to see their blossoms.  In their Easter dresses, a gift from grandma, my girls were better than any flower. Aunt Lynne spent the night to share in our Easter festivities and we had fun.

Getting ready to hunt for sugar, sugar, and more sugar!
Dyeing Easter eggs, maybe for the first time ever.
Trying to get some good pictures before afternoon church

I love my family and am so grateful for them and this time of year to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ who makes all things possible.

Clearing off the camera, Again!

Going through some pictures on the camera I realized I had some blog worthy ones I have just failed to upload.  Back in 2010 we dressed up as a Samurai family and ever since then the costumes have been with the dressups. The girls decided to get them out and add the makeup and to me it looks kind of scary but they had fun.

Rachel was invited to a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese so we braved it one night so Rachel could be with her best friend Ella.  Now I remember why I don't like that place--it seemed like half the machines were broken or not functioning properly and too many kids were running around unsupervised.  My favorite was a little boy no older than 2 climbing on the skeeball ramp and not coming down with no adult in view.
We celebrated St. Patrick's day in fashion with green Lucky Charms pancakes.
Last week our beloved rats died within one day of each other.  Here we are burying the first one in the backyard followed the next day by another burial service.  This is one reason why we got pets that we knew wouldn't last all that long so the girls can learn a little of the grieving process when the stakes are smaller.
Rachel had a musical performance for her class last week and the plan was to have the class look like the Colorado flag.  I think some of the whites were out of town.

Rachel ended up having a solo part in one song since the girl she was supposed to sing with was out of town and she did a great job even with a microphone malfunction.

Elizabeth was also excited to get a HERD award at school for Effort.  Now we are off track for three weeks and then only nine and a half weeks left to go before summer!

This is how Rachel and Evelyn dressed on their own today.
 And Rachel's explanation of it.
Reminds me of this SNL sketch.
As we wait for spring to come in full swing so we can spend more time outside, Elizabeth continues in her theater class, Rachel is playing soccer with me as coach, and Evelyn started ballet back up.
