Utah in bloom

Spring takes forever to come here in Colorado and I need green! I got it in full bloom in Utah and couldn't have been more excited.

First stop, Bear Lake. Unfortunately, LaBeau's shake stand was closed so we couldn't get our raspberry shake.
Next stop, Logan, Utah where Eric's parents were married.
We stayed the night with some friends in Wellsville. This is the only picture I remembered to take.
Then good old BYU where the popcorn was popping.
Friday was rainy but Saturday was gorgeous and we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. I must say tulips make me happy and I was very, very happy at Temple Square.

We spent Saturday in Farmington with Eric's sister and headed home Sunday through boring but uneventful Wyoming. Some other random shots from our trip. Did you know Rachel is a professional scowler?

I didn't even mention the best part of the trip for Eric. In-N-Out is now in Orem, American Fork, and Salt Lake City! Now it just has to move out to Denver.

BYU Graduate

Last week we took a trip to Utah to celebrate the graduation of my beautiful sister, Melissa.
She majored in Public Health and will be heading off for Africa in a few weeks for an internship in Ghana before joining the Peace Corp in February. So proud of you little sis!

Look at us sisters--all graduates of BYU.
Here's what my kids thought of graduation.

Forget the graduates, I found a worm!
And I'm going to eat it too.
Evelyn conked out while they read name after name after name.

Track off Fun

Three weeks turned into four with our trip out to Utah for Elizabeth's track off and we tried to stay busy. Here's a sampling.
Playdates with friends
Learning how to shop and get eaten by a fish at the Denver Children's museum

Possible Future Professions

Even as Eric and I try to figure out what we want to be when we grow up within our professions, here are some ideas for our girls.
Duck Feeders
Model--seriously, just look at her eyes
Fashion Designer
Astronaut (this is on Elizabeth's to-do list)
Professional Kickboxer
Professional Roller Skater (I think we would need some serious training time)

Needless to say, the possibilities are endless so let's see what the next 20 years brings our kids.

Happy Easter!

Easter definitely feels like a time of new beginnings as we celebrate the resurrection and new life of our Savior Jesus Christ. Here in Denver, the weather is getting warmer and new life is budding all around. I'm itching to start planting my vegetable garden and actually have lettuce growing in my bedroom window sill. Come on warmer weather and bring the green!

Rachel wanted to wear a hand-me-down Easter dress today even though we didn't go to church. This year's Easter dress picture will probably be taken next week. Anyway, here's a picture from 3 years ago when these dresses were new for Easter and then today. Wow, I can't believe my babies are growing up so fast!
