Guess who wants Earrings?

She's been begging for awhile and asking everyone who has them if they hurt. This morning she took matters into her own hands and put on some hoops but just for show. As I am not officially opposed to Elizabeth getting earrings, even though I don't have my ears pierced, I told her she needed to save up $10 so that buys me a month or so until the deed is actually done.

10 years into our Happily Ever After

It's official! We've passed the 10 year mark of our Happily Ever After and it's been a good ride. From our humble beginnings, we've definitely moved up in the world (literally from our tiny basement apartment in Provo) and been blessed with so much, especially our three beautiful girls. Here's to many more decades together.

Pinewood Derby

Yesterday we had a pinewood derby church activity. This gave those of us without boys the chance, neigh the opportunity, to build and race a pinewood derby car. We found this design on the internet (my wealth of creativity) and Friday night Eric cut the design out with our rudimentary tools (coping saw and drummel--I know he'll put in a plug for buying power tools here) and I painted it.
To my surprise, we didn't get last place, we were right about the middle of the pack of 18 other pinewood derby cars. We also won the prize for "smartest car." I think they were just making up awards for the cars they thought were cool but we'll take it.

The girls posing with our Mighty #2 car--yep, that's its name. I'm horrible and didn't include them in any process of creating it but I let them play with it after the race so now it's a little broken.

I should have gotten a video of our car actually winning but we did win 2, this race just wasn't one of them.
