Eating cake of course
And watching a movie while stuffing themselves with popcorn and candy.
On Rachel's actual birthday, Evelyn and I joined her at school for lunch and took cupcakes to the class.
These too-cute 2nd graders loved having a little sibling to play with at lunch recess.
Sisters being silly and cute.
I now realize how lacking I am on the pictures for Rachel's birthday but since Eric was in New Hampshire at the time, we went out for dinner at Village Inn for their pie night (honestly I was lazy and had made enough sweets for the week!).The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Rachel was baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and so excited about it. Here she is with her soft towel made by a friend of Grandma Bartholomew.
Posing with daddy in front of the house before leaving for the church.
Ready for her dunking.
The family.
It was a sweet service with talks from Grandpa Bartholomew and Cousin Brian. She was the first one of the day so the font was nice and warm and we had lots of friends join us. Our across the street neighbors and friends.

All the family
All about Rachel at 8.- Such a great sister to both older and younger sisters as she will play Barbies and do plays.
- Adventurous as she's up for just about anything--watching fireworks from the rooftop, climbing to the tops of rocks, sports--did great at soccer in the fall and she's excited to try out volleyball in the spring, and she loves roller coasters.
- Likes to play the piano and sing in the choir at school.
- Ready with a smile in the morning (at least most mornings).
- Still likes to be tucked in at night with squeezy hugs and I will take that for however long it lasts.
- A great example to classmates at church and school.
- A little perfectionist with some frustration but once worked through, accomplishes just about any task.
- Likes learning new things as she has done extra mini reports on things like polar bears, mining, space, dolphins, and more.
- Has great facial expressions like this "what?" faceWe love our Rachel!
