Last Saturday we just needed to get out of the house so we went to Roxborough State Park for a little hike. This place must be really gorgeous when everything turns green.
Monday we went to Game Shack after the kids finished their mommy school work (yes I'm that mean!) and some chores. They love playing skeeball and other arcade games there and winning tickets for prizes. It was a very windy day with gusts they said could reach 50mph so it was nice to go to an indoor place. In the evening I looked out back and saw that the sun was red--it was kind of freaky! There was a fire in the foothills, probably caused by a previous controlled fire not being so controlled and then the wind helped spread it.
Tuesday we explored Colorado Springs with two of our old neighbors from Ohio that now live in the Springs. Love the Air Force for bringing us all together again.
Here are all of the kids minus one--they've all grown up in four years!
We went to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. It was a little pricey for what it actually was but the girls loved running around.

Then we went down the street to Garden of the Gods for a picnic lunch and exploring. Do you see the kissing camels?
Wednesday was a little playdate and then piano and soccer. Thursday and Friday were recovery days for me from the fun from the first part of the week! Here's to more fun in the next two weeks.
Happy Spring!
