JAM

I remember my childhood days of standing over a pot of boiling berries with tons of sugar and stirring during one of moms great jam making sessions. She made (I guess I should use present tense but I'm talking my memory here) some pretty good jams in bulk--boysenberry, raspberry, pomegranate (I don't remember seeds being an issue); just about any berry she could get. I must say I have not followed suit with the canning skills but thanks to Ball I can still make jam--freezer jam that is. Just blend berries, mix in sugar & pectin, and voila a good batch of jam but of course not as good as mom's. No boiling or sterilizing jars necessary which is right up my alley.

My batch of blackberry jam (thank you Sprouts for cheap produce!)
